Kill pipeline roots using your own crews and equipment

RootX® gives you the ammunition to kill pipeline roots using your own maintenance crews and equipment. Arm your crews with RootX, and they can treat a 400-foot mainline in 30 minutes or less.

Kill pipeline roots — restore pipe flow capacity
The patented RootX formula foams on contact with water to reach the top of the pipe—where 90% of the roots are. Dead roots decay over time, restoring your pipes to their full capacity. And RootX is guaranteed to keep your pipes root-free.

Tough on roots; easy on pipes
RootX kills roots using the aquatic herbicide Dichlobenil. It’s non-caustic, non-fumigating and non-systemic, and it contains no diquat dibromide, copper sulfate or metam sodium. RootX will not harm pipes, wastewater treatment operations or above-ground vegetation.

EPA registration #68464-1
RootX is registered for use in all 50 states as well as Canada, and it’s classified as a General Use product by the Environmental Protection Agency. In addition, RootX carries the signal word CAUTION, the lowest chemical hazard rating according to the ISO 3864-2 standard for hazard severity panels.

Proven in systems large, medium and small
RootX has a 10-year track record in municipal applications of all sizes. Large cities like Fort Lauderdale and Honolulu use RootX, and so do medium-size cities like Lafayette, LA (population 110,257) and Corvallis, OR (50,126). RootX is even cost-effective for small towns like Brewer, ME (8,987) and North English, IA (1,010).
